• DESCRIPTION
Ceramic Fiber FIre Barrier Board (also known as ceramic fiber rigid board) is a rigid refractory material made from ceramic fiber cotton. It is the primary product form of the "fire baffle" used in high-temperature industrial applications.
• PROPERTIES
Ø Lightweight with Excellent Insulation: Its bulk density is approximately 280–330 kg/m³, about 1/3 that of lightweight bricks. At 600°C, its thermal conductivity is only about 0.08 W/(m·k), making its insulation performance 3–5 times better than lightweight refractory bricks.
Ø Low Heat Storage, Energy Efficient: Its heat capacity is only about 1/14 that of refractory bricks. This means that when used as furnace lining, the furnace heats up and cools down quickly, significantly saving energy—especially suitable for intermittent kilns that require rapid temperature changes..
Ø High Temperature Resistance and Impact Resistance: Depending on the grade, its service temperature ranges from 900°C to over 1400°C. It is also rigid and hard, capable of directly withstanding flame impact, and offers good thermal shock resistance.
• APPLICATION
Ø Direct Flame Exposure: As hot-face linings for industrial kilns, furnace door fire baffles, kiln temperature partition plates, etc.
Ø Backup Insulation: As backup insulation layers behind refractory bricks or castables to improve overall thermal efficiency.
Ø Specific Industries: Extensively used in ceramic, glass, metallurgical, petrochemical, and other industries for various kilns, heating furnaces, and heat-treatment furnaces.
