• DESCRIPTION
High silica chopped yarn is made by cutting high silica fiberglass yarn into short lengths, forming an inorganic fiber for high-temperature applications.
With SiO₂ ≥96% and a filament diameter of 6–9 μm, it offers stable chemical properties without brittleness, dissolution, or volatilization. Its softening point is 1700°C, enabling continuous use up to 1000°C.
It is an effective alternative to asbestos and ceramic fibers, providing safer, more durable, and environmentally friendly thermal insulation.
